Five ways to add awesome to your entire day—every day
So you’ve got a Jam Bluetooth speaker or two, and they sit there all day every day waiting for you to do something—anything—with them. Of course you pull them out when there’s a party. Heck, you may even turn them on when you get home. You do a little dance. You make a little dinner. Then turn them down for the night. You may think those speakers are a one-hit wonder, but they do indeed have mad skills.
1. Make morning better
Are you hitting the snooze button so many times you can literally do it in your sleep? Make a deal with yourself. Any morning you get up the first time the alarm starts buzzing, it’s an immediate dance party. Turn off your clock, turn on your Jam and get your morning started off with some sick moves.
2. Sing yourself to health
Then, pick up that speaker and take it with you when you’re ready to start your day. Turn on your favorite band, and belt it in the shower. Singing, no matter where you do it, makes you happier and boosts your body’s immunity. How do we know? A lot of scientists say so.
3. Rock out, no matter what you drive
Are your car radio and smartphone not on speaking terms? Or maybe your radio isn’t on speaking terms with anything or anyone—including you. Don’t play its games. Take your speaker with you to work and listen to whatever gets you ready to be your awesome self.
4. Procrastination annihilation
So you get home and see a few things you really should do. The mail is about two credit card applications from claiming the entire dining room table. Maybe the kitchen could use a bit of a scrub—three weeks ago. You’re not going to get it all done tonight, so set the timer on your smartphone for 15 minutes, put on your favorite get-stuff-done jams and commit to being productive for a full half a sitcom.
5. Give yourself a round of sound
Then invite your friends over to celebrate your big accomplishment. Order a pizza, turn up the music and settle in for a great night – the kind you’ll have to promise yourself another morning dance party tomorrow if there’s even a chance you’re going to wake up in time to get to work.
